Norwegian interest in Gondolbyn

The Gondola Village, with its spectacular location a stone's throw from the Gondola in Hemavan, is also attracting great interest in our western neighbour. Contractors' site manager Rasmus Lindqvist was recently interviewed by the Norwegian newspaper Ranabladet about the four-storey building.

- "It feels like the project is attracting attention, many people we meet ask and want to know how it's going. After all, it's the first major building after Vattenverket to be built in Hemavan and on a plot that couldn't be more centrally located. I've actually bought one of the apartments myself and can't wait for it to be finished," says Rasmus, who is now taking the plunge and moving up from Umeå permanently.

Contractor is building 21 apartments in this project where the construction is a combination of wood and concrete. Exterior walls and roofs are built in wooden components, for which we also make the construction drawings, and are delivered by us at Jörnträhus. Occupancy is planned for Easter 2022.

- Hemavan is super nice and I have very good colleagues in a market that is really exciting, this is where you should live! The reporter from Norway brought up the whole development of Hemavan and it's something I see up close as the Contractor Group is involved in several of the investments being made," he says.
