Long-awaited rental apartments underway in Hemavan

Together with the municipal property company in Storuman, Umluspen and Vikbergs fastighetsförvaltning run Contractor Lassoskogen project in Hemavan. During the holidays, building permits were applied for and received for two houses and 27 rental apartments as well as a number of carports.

The location is at the start of the old electric track and Contractor Mark has already broken ground on a new road called Ackjaspåret, which will be paved this autumn.

- This will be a home for those who cannot or do not want to buy their own apartment. As you know, prices are high in Hemavan and this makes it possible to live without a capital investment. There is a great shortage of rental apartments, especially small apartments, so we expect this to be a popular addition to the housing market in Hemavan," says Johan Wikström, Project Manager at Contractor. 

The houses will have internal staircases and wooden facades.

- We believe that construction will start in connection with the snow melt after Easter -22, that is the target picture. We see long lead times for building materials, so we must first make detailed plans and place orders," says Johan Wikström.

Jörnträhus has contributed to the project development process and designed the customised proposal that has received planning permission and the hope is that we will also be able to deliver the house kits.

We have for many years now delivered the house kits to the popular Ski-logde apartments so we know each other inside and out. So now we are looking forward to getting started with this project as well, with a different type of house, says Jörnträhus CEO, Mikael Lindberg.
